36 hours to Go

My possessions are going in six different directions:
1. I took my car up to St Edwards, Whitley Bay this morning with a suitcase full of clothes, plus albs and books that I will need to take up being a parish priest again as soon as I get back.
2. Everything else is packed into boxes against the end wall of my bedroom in Durham. It's mostly books with an item of clothing stuffed into the top of the box to pad it out. Other items that my Dominican successors want to use are labelled so that removal men can collect all of this stuff when there is somewhere to move my stuff to.
3. Helen, the fantastic parish secretary, is taking fragile things like large pictures, glassware and bottles, that removal men might smash.
4. I'm packing a backpack to post out to my cousin, Helen, in Bilbao for the walking leg of the trip.
5. There's the stuff that's coming with me on my bike.
6. There's my cricket bag which has to be ready for my last game of the season at Durham City Cricket Club vs Eppleton (they murdered us last season). It's been a great season -despite having the worst weather of any season anyone can remember- in that I have never enjoyed my cricket so much.
All this and so many tying-up-loose-end-tasks to do, and never a free stretch of time to just get them done, I'm stressed!
